Project Description

The Tunica County Utility District is proposing renovations and upgrades to the Robinsonville WWTP Plant located at 2280 Fitzgeralds Boulevard, Robinsonville. The primary objective of this renovation project shall be to return this facility to reliable long-term compliance with the state and federal standards of the Clean Water Act (CWA). The renovations include: Installation of an additional screen and repair/replacement of existing screen; installation of compactor for debris removed by bar screen; temporary/intermittent bypassing of the primary clarifier during renovations; sludge removal, dewatering, and disposal from primary clarifiers; removal of inoperable equipment and conversion of primarily clarifier basin to a grit and scum removal process; replacement of aeration piping and diffusers in Aeration Basin No. 1 or No. 2; replacement of blower No. 2, which may include the addition of a 3rd blower; restoration of out-of-service secondary clarifier including the replacement of equipment and refurbishment of concrete basin in clarifier No. 1; replacement of sludge and grit pumps in the Primary Treatment Stage; replacement of recycle/waste sludge pumps at the Secondary Clarification Stage; and replacement and/or upgrades to various process controls and piping.
