Project Description

This Project shall consist of the transferring of water services on 25th Avenue from Lake Street to Division Street within Melrose Park, Illinois. Water services will be transferred from a 6” watermain to an existing 12” watermain. The 6” watermain will be retired as part of this project. Work related to improving the identified street includes the retiring of the old water main, removal and replacement of fire hydrants and auxiliary valves, removal of old valve vaults and valve boxes, removal and replacement of any curb and gutter, concrete driveways, landscape restoration, and hot-mix asphalt surfaces affected by the work involved in the project. Replacement of lead water services from the buffalo boxes to the water meter inside properties will also be included.
