Project Description

The Runnymede Water Infrastructure Improvements (Proposed Action) would take place along and between Runnymede Road at Runnymede Park within the West Highlands Historic District, Winston-Salem. The site is a small park with walkways and several footbridges crossing a stream named Runnymede Branch. Additionally, a portion of the Proposed Action would occur on parcels of land utilized by the Wiley Magnet Middle School. The Proposed Action is divided into two phases. The first phase would involve upgrading the existing water, sewer, and stormwater pipe system. The second phase would involve stream restoration by stabilizing and restoring approximately 1,300 liner feet of channel within Runnymede Park.
