Project Description

The Sewickley Borough sewage treatment plant is out of compliance with Allegheny County Health Department and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s permit requirements. A multi-phase corrective action plan has been developed to address the noncompliance, components of which will be funded through the EPA’s Community Grants program. Specifically, the proposed project will replace the treatment plant’s headworks system components including the mechanical bar screen and the compactor, both of which have both passed their useful life.
