The Project involves various work, such as replacements and upgrades, at the North High Service Pump Station and the Miller Park High Service Pump Station in the City of Delray Beach, Florida. North High Service Pump Station Project Components: Includes replacement of North High Service Pump Station pumps and communication instrument upgrades. Demolition of one (1) existing soft-starter, two (2) existing variable frequency drives (VFD), and existing control hardware. The control panel is planned to be re-used as a terminal junction box. Removal of abandoned diesel drive for Pump No.1. Replacement of existing pumps with newly sized pumps. Modification to existing motor control center (MCC) for new pump feeder circuit breakers and wiring as required to accommodate new pumps. Addition of new stand-alone VFDs for Pump Nos. 1, 2, and 3 in the existing isolated storage room located to the north of the electrical room. Addition of local pump disconnect switches or operational lockout pushbuttons for local disconnection of pump operation. Rewiring of control signals to the new system control panel. New diesel engine generator using existing fuel storage tank. Replacement of outdoor transformer and lighting panelboard for 208/120Vac miscellaneous system loads. New air conditioning for the storage room, sized for the electrical and control equipment provided for this room. Replacement of instrumentation, including tank level transmitters, system flow meter, and pressure transmitters. Installation of a new control system using the current industrial programmable logic controller (PLC) manufacturer and local supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) control, and a new control panel. Implementation of new high service pump station (HSPS) automatic controls, including new SCADA screens and integration with existing SCADA network. New cellular or internet service provider (ISP) communication from the pump station to the central control system. Structural modifications as required for the installation of new equipment. Piping changes to accommodate new pumps and instrumentation. Miller Park High Service Pump Station Project Components: Demolition of four (4) existing soft-starters and pumps. Replacement of existing pumps with newly sized pumps. Modification to the existing MCC for new feeder circuit breakers to new VFDs. Addition of new VFDs for Pump Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4. New diesel engine generator with integral subbase fuel storage tank or new above-ground storage tank and day tank to replace the existing tank. Rewiring of control signals to the new system control panel. Upgraded HVAC system to replace the existing and sized for new equipment. Replacement of instrumentation, including tank level transmitters, system flow meter, and pressure transmitters. Installation of a new control system and local SCADA server. Installation of a new control system using the current industrial PLC manufacturer and local SCADA control, and a new control panel. Implementation of new HSPS automatic controls, including new SCADA screens and integration with the existing SCADA network. New cellular or ISP communication from the pump station to the central control system. Structural modifications as required for the installation of new equipment.
