Project Description

The proposed project is for the construction of a new gravity sewer main. The existing sewer interceptor is located next to the Nanticoke River and has not had any improvements since it was built in 1959, causing the interceptor to reach capacity. As a result, the pipes have begun to surcharge during peak times, leading to contamination in the Nanticoke River watershed.
