Project Description

The Norman Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) plans to complete necessary upgrades to provide for current and future treatment needs and potential future indirect potable reuse efforts. The upgrades will be completed in the following phases: Phase I – Norman WRF Blower Replacement: Two (2) existing turbo aeration blowers and four (4) existing centrifugal aeration blowers will be removed and two (2) new turbo aeration blowers and four new (4) centrifugal aeration blowers along with associated HVAC, electrical and instrumentation & control work will be furnished, installed, and commissioned within the existing Aeration Blower building at the Norman WRF. Phase II – Norman WRF Laboratory Improvements and New Maintenance Building: At the existing Norman WRF Administration Building, the laboratory will be renovated to expand size and update the layout and facilities so laboratory can meet current and proposed future changes to regulatory requirements for sampling and testing of WRF plant processes and envisioned increased testing required for indirect potable reuse and upgrades to building systems that have reached the end of their useful lives or no longer meet their intended purpose. Since space for the laboratory expansion will come from the already undersized maintenance storage area, a new pre-engineered maintenance building will be constructed at the location of former sludge drying bed adjacent to the Administration Building.
