Project Description

The City of Gatesville, Texas, intends to replace an aging gravity sewer line as part of its ongoing efforts to upgrade the existing wastewater system. The city has identified an 1100 foot section of 10 inch gravity sewer main that needs replaced and expanded to a 12 inch line. The line connects a manhole that is nearing capacity to a 12 inch sewer line. The smaller diameter of this section does not allow the sewer flow to escape the manhole at a sufficient rate and is nearing capacity. If the manhole is over capacity, it will cause an overflow event. The project will help modernize the city's aging wastewater system, reducing the risk of system failures and improving overall service reliability for residents.
