Project Description

The New Haven Public Service District (PSD), located in Fayette County, West Virginia, provides public water service to approximately 1,592 customers. Through this project, the New Haven PSD intends to extend reliable public water service to 16 new residences in the Old Gwinn Road area. This proposed project consists of constructing a new water main extension from the existing water main on Hawver Road along Old Gwinn Road, and a transmission line along an unnamed farm road that runs north off Old Gwinn Road, 0.96 miles northeast of the intersection of Hawver Road and Old Gwinn Road. The new water main along Old Gwinn Road will be 2.26 miles long. The transmission line along the unnamed farm road will be 0.72 miles long. Services for individual users will be installed as a part of the project. The base project will consist of new construction of approximately 12,000 linear feet of 8-inch diameter water main to service 16 new customers. The project will include meters, single and tandem setters, pressure reducing valves, and fire hydrants. Flow rates and fire flow rates will be maintained in the area.
