Project Description

The Town of Pembroke is proposing improvements at its Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to enhance the sewer system's resiliency to flooding, as well as providing treatment processing and capacity upgrades at the WWTP to meet current and future economic development needs. The WWTP is located at 8257 Deep Branch Road, Pembroke, NC 28372. The construction portion of Phase II consists of the installation of an oxidation ditch, a filter pump station consisting of four 1,166 gallons per minute (GPM) pumps, a tertiary filtration system with two 2 million gallons per day (MGD) disc filter units, aerobic digestor, a 500 GPM sludge pump, a loading stand; sedimentation and erosion-control devices; piping and controls, electrical, valves, vaults, and associated appurtenances.
