Project Description

The proposed project will remove and install three (3) vertical turbine pumps along with all piping, valves, controls, monitoring systems, and appurtenances. Additionally, the project will also include the installation of motor operated valves with variable frequency drives to maximize efficiency and allow for improved throttling of water flow. Project will include all wiring, circuit breakers and controls along with upgrades to high efficiency LED lighting. These proposed improvements at both raw water pump stations will allow plant staff to control the required raw water flow into the plant to better meet distribution system demands for the 200,000 people in the Brownsville PUB service area.
