Project Description

The Houlton Water Company (HWC) owns and operates the wastewater collection and treatment systems that serve the residents of Houlton and portions of the surrounding towns. The wastewater treatment plant has not been upgraded since it was constructed in the early 1970s. This project will replace and upgrade critical assets with high probability of failure which includes the clarifiers, raw sewer pumps, a sludge pump & effluent wash pump.
