Project Description

The Project will involve storm sewer rehabilitation and improvements in up to 14 locations in southwest Louisville-Jefferson County, KY. Specifically, roadside ditch improvements, "grade-to-drain" site grading, green best management practices, and erosion control measures (i.e., bank stabilization, natural vegetation, rip-rap, minor concrete support). The drainage improvements will reduce and prevent localized flooding and water damage in these neighborhoods and adjacent homes. The Project is needed to address impacts from dangerous flood conditions, such as road overtopping, clogged storm drains, erosion, untreated runoff, and standing water.
