Project Description

The Project will repair and replace 20 existing combined sewer catch-basins and associated internal components (plumbing traps) in the Chickasaw neighborhood in West Louisville, KY. Typical construction work will include all activities and materials associated with installing trap catch basins, including but not limited to, ground restoration, flow diversion, and traffic control; removing the existing catch basin and replacing with a new trap catch basin structure; removing and replacing 10 linear feet (LF) of disturbed concrete curb; milling and paving 270 square feet of asphalt around the replaced trap catch basin; and removing and replacing 10 LF of concrete sidewalk. The repairs and trap installations would reduce and prevent sewer gas odors from escaping into the neighborhood and adjacent homes.
