Project Description

The Hershey Road Water Booster Station Replacement project will focus on the rehabilitation and upgrades to the existing water booster pump station which serves the entire Peach Street corridor pressure zone and supplies water to both McKean and Millcreek Townships off Rt. 99. The project will also support the construction costs to build an addition to the Erie water works, replace the two existing pumps with four new pumps, the installation of four check valves, an interior drain system, meter upgrades, structural modifications to the existing pipe gallery, and telemetry improvements. The site work will include the demolition of the existing exterior below ground meter pit, the reconfiguration of the existing piping and the relocation of the existing interior gas fired heater and associated plumbing.
