Project Description

The City is seeking federal funds through an EPA Community Grant under the FY 2023 appropriation to build an addition at the Zachary Water Treatment Plant (WTP) with a plate settler system. The addition of the plate settler system that can more efficiently treat the wastewater generated when filters are backwashed. Ultimately, this will result in a reduction in manganese and iron in the City’s drinking water and a slight increase in the overall WTP capacity.
