Project Description

The proposed Project includes upgrading the Town's existing Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) and collection system in Pelahatchie, MS. The proposed WWTF upgrades consist of installing additional aerators to the existing lagoon cells, rehabilitating two inactive lagoon cells, installing a new biological filter and appurtenances, installing a backup power generator, removing biosolids from existing lagoon cells, and improving slopes and roads throughout the facility. The discharge point will be relocated directly to the permitted receiving stream instead of the current unnamed tributary that flows into the Pelahatchie Creek.
