Project Description

The Project will replace the existing 2-inch galvanized water main on US-31 and upgrade it to a new 6-inch water main. The project will extend the new main further south beyond the county line beneath Mulberry Fork, to serve customers presently served by a Blount County Water Authority 1-inch diameter main which is not capable of providing adequate pressures and volumes to meet existing needs.
