Project Description

The Aiken County Public Service Authority proposes to remove and replace existing equipment in four secondary clarifiers at the Horse Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) with new clarifier mechanisms, which includes: center support column and inlet pipe, energy dissipation well, half catwalk, drive platform, drive mechanism, sludge collection manifolds, tube supports, skimmer arm, skimmer beach, weirs and weir baffles, and other miscellaneous structural items, and fasteners. Additionally, the Project would rehabilitate the existing concrete effluent launders and apply a resistance lining to mitigate surface corrosion and algae, and perform mortar repair of the wall surfaces and grout replacement for all four clarifiers.
