Project Description

The City of Hebron, NE intends to perform rehabilitation work on the city's water tower. The 500,000 gallon water tower was constructed in 1951 and is in need of upgrades and repairs to meet modern day safety standards. The scope of work associated with this grant project includes cleaning and painting the interior and exterior of the water tower as well as the installation of new safety features. The water tower is currently coated with leaded paint, so additional steps will be taken to ensure the paint is contained during the rehabilitation process. Additionally, a waste management plan has been developed to ensure all hazardous waste is properly disposed of. No new construction on previously undisturbed land will take place during this project.
