Project Description

The project implements stormwater improvements within 67 City-owned outfall locations, all of which empty into the North and South forks of Middle River. The scope of the Project is limited to the installation of in-line check valves within the existing stormwater drainage system. The valves will primarily be installed at the storm drain inlet basin leading to the outfall. Due to certain size and accessibility issues, some valves will be installed at the outfall opening. The Project will address severe storm-related flooding within low-lying areas due to sea-level rise, high tides, and king tide cycles.
