N2024181Document Type
EA/FONSIProject Description
The Town of Cornwall is proposing a drainage system project to improve the inadequacies in the existing stormwater conveyance system. The current stormwater system is a series of above ground conveyance trenches which are unable to handle stormwater during large storm events. This has resulted in the frequent flooding of surrounding residential properties and erosion of sediment. The Proposed Action is located within a residential neighborhood of Cornwall, Orange County, New York. The project area is zoned as suburban residential and is adjacent to an area designated as agricultural rural residential. The project area is adjacent to Idlewild Creek, also known as Canterbury Creek, along Hasbrouck Ave, Robert Road, Sheldon Drive, Curtis Court, Autum Lane, and Union Street.EPA Region/Headquarters Office
