Project Description

The Kingwood Water Works WISDOM (Water Intelligence and Security Development for Operational Support of the Military Project) includes three subprojects: (1) construction of a new water storage tank, pressure reducing valve station and installation of telemetry at Camp Dawson to eliminate chronic breaks, leaks, and outages and improve system monitoring; (2) construction of a new raw water intake 300 ft. upstream from existing intakes to provide water supply during dry periods and to improve system reliability; and (3) installation of a new intermediate storage tank and telemetry to provide adequate supply to accommodate maintenance, fire demand, and outages to ensure consistent and reliable water supply to Camp Dawson and to increase water security from source water contamination events and drought.
