Project Description

The Project is needed to eliminate existing public health and safety risks as well as environmental threats posed by failing septic systems. The Project will involve construction of a centralized sewage system with a land application system (LAS) treatment facility and would provide services to approximately 294 residents and 41 commercial customers. The Project would consist of the following: 46,000 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer pipe, 170 manholes, 21,500 linear feet of 4-inch gravity service pipe, 325 septic tank abandonments and residential connections, 5 sewer pump stations, 20,000 linear feet of 8-inch force main, and 18,500 linear feet of 4-inch force main. A LAS treatment with a storage pond, spray fields, a transfer pump station, aerators, blowers, one building, fencing, and appurtenances.
