Project Description

The Lester Woods subdivision project includes replacing approximately 4,563 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC), 364 LF of 6-inch PVC and 1,256 LF of 2” PVC with approximately 6,182 LF of 8-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP). The Woodcreek Estates subdivision project includes replacing approximately 4,830 LF of 6-inch asbestos cement pipe (ACP) and 1,080 LF of 2-inch galvanized steel pipe with approximately 5,460 LF of 8-inch DIP. Construction will proceed by installing the new water main while keeping the existing main in service. Once the new main has been installed, disinfected, and tested, services will be moved over from the existing main to the new main. After all services are connected to the new main, the existing main will be disconnected from the distribution system and abandoned in place.
