Project Description

The Project will consist of upgrading the existing potable water distribution system by 1) providing new ductile iron pipe mains throughout the City to replace the old remaining cast iron mains, 2) increase all residential mains to an 8-inch minimum to comply with current standards, 3) increase rear easement service lines to 3 inches, 4) provide 12-inch mains for the commercial perimeter of the City, 5) provide two 12-inch feeder loops along SW 12th Street and SW 16th Street, 6) eliminate all dead end lines throughout the city and loop as much as possible to distribute pressure evenly, and 7) extend mains where required in order to loop and interconnect services lines. The Project will occur in three phases.
