Project Description

The proposal is to upsize 5,550 linear feet of the existing 15-inch main to 18-inch sewer line main from 6th Street cemetery to 4th Street. The main will be replaced using the trenchless rehabilitation method called pipe-bursting. This work could largely be accomplished underground without large-scale excavations. Some excavations would be required at the manholes and at service connections to individual houses and businesses. The current sewer laterals will be replaced with 4,440 linear feet of new PVC and 40 services will be reconnected to the new 18-inch main. After the work is completed, the roadway will be repaved.
