Project Description

The Public Service District is proposing to construct a new 300 gallon per minute (GPM) water treatment facility and permit a new source well to better serve the Timberline area of Canaan Valley. The treatment process would include a membrane filtration system to effectively remove contaminants such as iron, manganese, and PFOS/PFOA. The new source well would supply an additional 125 GPM to the plant. Approximately 3,000 linear feet (LF) of four (4) inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) water line and 2,550 LF of six (6) inch HDPE water line would also be installed to transmit raw water to the new plant and tie-in the treatment plant effluent to the existing distribution system.
