Project Description

The project will: install three conservation landscaping practices to control the stormwater runoff from over 3,000 square feet of impervious surface in the parking lot; install swales, berms, and hillside conservation landscaping to resolve significant stormwater management issues on the south side of the property; restore 1.5 acres of forest by removing up to one acre of invasive bush honeysuckle and planting 300 native trees; convert part of the driveway into permeable pavers to reduce impervious surfaces and stormwater runoff; address stormwater runoff using a series of green infrastructure techniques including a swale, 2,500 square feet of conservation landscaping, and two 500 square foot rain gardens; resolve long standing stormwater runoff issues by initiating a redesign of the shared community space to reduce stormwater flow on the property and from the surrounding area; design and install both a 600 square foot bioretention cell that will capture runoff from 8,000 square feet of the parking lot and second 1,400 square foot cell.
