Project Description

In the Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA), EPA evaluated the environmental impacts of solid waste infrastructure projects receiving funding through the Solid Waste Infrastructure for Recycling (SWIFR) grant program. EPA analyzed the potential adverse and beneficial environmental impacts of solid waste infrastructure projects eligible for SWIFR funding. The PEA presents a broad and high-level review of information on existing conditions and discusses potential impacts and mitigation measures that might typically occur during construction and operation of solid waste infrastructure projects for recycling.
