Project Description

Save the Sound will partner with the Mill River Watershed Association, the Town of Hamden, and the City of New Haven to develop and implement Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) distributed across the lower Mill River watershed in Greater New Haven. Using plants, stone, and organic materials to absorb and infiltrate stormwater, these integrated nature-based solutions will reduce flooding and nonpoint-source water pollution in the Mill River watershed, New Haven Harbor, and Long Island Sound.
