Project Description

To rehabilitate the Nancy Court Pump Station, the City will undertake the following tasks: • Demolition of the existing well vault and raising of the well casing above grade. • Demolition of existing electrical and control equipment in the existing building. • Replacement of the existing submersible well pump with a vertical turbine style (VTP); if the well alignment is not suitable for a VTP, an alternate pump will be a new submersible pump. • Replacement of all well discharge and blowoff piping and valves inside building. • Replacement of the well pump motor starter and distribution panelboards as well as control panels for chemical safety, well and blowoff controls, system pressure gauge and chart recorder. • Installation of a 14-inch liner casing inside the existing well with either a pre-packed screen or 10-inch wire-wound screen with gravel pack added. • Installation of a prefabricated building enclosure over the well and pump, including security systems. • Perform miscellaneous electrical improvements, including replacement of the existing obsolete transformers mounted at grade with a new 480-volt electric service with primary cable, pad-mounted transformer, secondary cable, meter, and switchgear. • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system improvements.
