Project Description

A number of improvements are proposed for the Prospect Avenue Pump Station, including: replacement of pumps and valves; rehabilitation of the discharge valve concrete chamber and wet well room; replacement of the existing emergency generator, HVAC system, two existing communitors, and steps into the collection chamber; installation of a grease eradication system and flood-proof doors at entrances to the control room; and installation of a permanent bypass system. These proposed measures will improve the reliability of the station to convey sewage without interruptions that risk causing sanitary sewage overflows. Additionally, these measures will serve to improve the resiliency of the station, which serves an overburdened community.
