Project Description

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have been detected at well sites within the Orange County Groundwater Basin, managed by the District. Many of the wells used to pump groundwater from the Basin are owned and managed by cities and retail water districts within the District's service area. The PFAS Treatment Projects includes the design, permitting, construction, and operation of individual and centralized PFAS treatment systems for impacted wells.
