CATEXProject Description
Bridge culvert near intersection of St. George Road and Queen Mary Highway is deteriorated/damaged and needs complete replacement with a new concrete box culvert. The corrugated metal pipes will be removed and replaced with a 40-foot-long by 24-foot-wide by 4-foot-deep concrete box culvert to bridge the gut. Additionally, the wing walls and the concrete apron are also badly deteriorated and damaged requiring reconstruction. After the box culvert, wing walls and apron construction are complete, pavement will be placed over the top surface of the box culvert to connect to the adjacent roadway, and the surrounding soil on both sides of the culvert will be graded to the pavement surface. Guard rails will be placed at the end of the bridge culvert for safety purposes.EPA Region/Headquarters Office
