Weymouth Rhymer Culvert Top ReconstructionDocument Number
N2015025Document Type
CATEXProject Description
After years of resurfacing the roadway adjacent to the existing box culvert and additional development in the area over time, the top of the culvert is currently deteriorated and located below the roadway, which prevents stormwater from properly draining away from the roadway. The proposed project consists of survey(s), inspection(s), removing approximately 2,640 feet of the existing culvert top, and reconstructing a new concrete top of the same length to enclose the culvert. The placement of the new culvert top will have to be adequately reconfigured so that the top portion of the structure is 6 inches higher than the roadway surface to allow for construction of curbs, gutters, and curb inlets to alleviate major runoff from the roadway.EPA Region/Headquarters Office
