Project Description

Due to the increased cost, funds had to be shifted to other sites from the wastewater plants. The parish now plans to install 9 generators, one at each plant and one at a major lift station in Napoleonville. The parish will install transfer switches at four (4) smaller lift stations. This will allow for use of portable generators until the parish can secure funds for permanent generators for the lift stations. Should funding availability change during the course of this project, the number of generators may increase up to the original planned 14. The project involves the purchase and installation of the following components: 1. One 175 Kilowatts (KW) diesel generator and 300 amp transfer switch; 2. Four 35 KW natural gas fueled generators with transfer switches; 3. Three 40 KW generators with appropriately sized transfer switches; and 4. One 45 KW generator with appropriately sized transfer switch
